How to Measure
To measure your kitchen for a glass backsplash, measure the width and height of the wall area above your countertop, and separately note the position of any outlets or switches. Follow the steps below for an accurate custom-fit order.
What You'll Need
- A metal tape measure (not fabric or laser, for accuracy on uneven walls)
- Pencil and paper, or your phone's notes app
- A helper (optional, but makes long walls easier)
Step 1: Measure the Width
Measure horizontally along the wall from one end of the backsplash area to the other, typically from the edge of one cabinet or wall to the other. Take the measurement at three points — top, middle, and bottom of the area — since walls are rarely perfectly straight. Use the widest of the three measurements to ensure full coverage.
Step 2: Measure the Height
Measure vertically from the top of your countertop to the bottom of your upper cabinets (or to your desired stopping point if there are no upper cabinets). Take this measurement at both the left and right ends of the wall, and use the tallest measurement.
Step 3: Locate Outlets and Switches
For any outlet or switch that falls within the backsplash area, measure:
- The distance from the nearest side edge of the wall to the nearest edge of the outlet
- The distance from the countertop to the bottom edge of the outlet
- The width and height of the outlet or switch plate itself
Repeat this for each outlet or switch. This lets us cut precise openings so the panel fits flush around them.
Step 4: Account for Corners
If your backsplash wraps around an inside or outside corner, measure each wall section separately as its own panel — glass backsplashes are installed as flat sheets and cannot bend around a corner. We can supply matching panels for each wall.
Step 5: Double-Check Before Ordering
Round measurements to the nearest 1/8 inch for the best fit. We recommend measuring twice to confirm before submitting your order, since panels are custom-cut and cannot be resized after production.

Should I measure to the exact edge of my countertop and cabinets, or leave a gap?
Measure to the exact edge. We account for standard installation clearance during cutting, so send us your raw wall measurements.
What if my wall isn't perfectly rectangular?
Note any irregularities (bump-outs, angled sections, uneven cabinet heights) in the order notes or contact us with a photo. We can accommodate most non-standard layouts.
Where do I enter my measurements when ordering?

What's the largest single panel size available?
