Glass Finish Selection Guide
Transparent
Clear tempered glass with full light transmission. Standard specification for kitchen backsplash installations where wall color or tile behind the panel is intentional. Ideal for designer-led projects and light-colored kitchens.
Satin (Frosted)
Acid-etched matte finish that fully conceals the wall behind the panel. The default contractor choice where wall prep is minimal. Fingerprint-resistant. Widely specified for both residential kitchen remodels and commercial food service environments.
Fume (Smoked)
Lightly smoked grey tint. Adds visual depth and a premium finish. Commonly specified in contemporary kitchen renovations alongside stainless, matte black, and dark cabinetry.

Installation — Contractor Notes
Install panels after all cabinetry, countertop, and appliance work is complete. Three fixing methods:
Silicone adhesive — neutral-cure silicone recommended; allows adjustment before cure; most common method
Construction adhesive — higher initial grab; recommended for panels above 36" width
Mechanical standoffs — for commercial applications requiring future panel removal; cut-outs must be specified before tempering
Important Tempered glass cannot be cut, drilled, or modified after tempering. Outlet, switch, or faucet cut-outs must be specified at time of order — we fabricate all openings before the tempering process.
Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Each panel is configured individually. Add each size, finish, and thickness combination separately to your cart. All panels from a single order ship together where possible.
What is the maximum panel size?
Standard catalog sizes run to 70" × 30". Larger panels are available — contact us with project dimensions for a direct quote.

Which thickness should I specify for a behind-stove kitchen backsplash?
3/16" is the standard contractor specification for residential kitchen backsplash applications. Specify 1/4" or 5/16" for commercial cooking environments or high-traffic areas.
Are panels suitable for bathroom splashback applications?
